Our Front Porch: A Gathering Place for Students

Partnership for Education Advancement (Ed Advancement) provides operations-focused technology support to mission-driven institutions, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). These solutions increase enrollment, retention rates, and lead to higher graduation rates and post-graduate outcomes.

Ed Advancement is collaborating with Axim Collaborative and Virginia State University to develop a centralized platform for student success. This mobile-first, student-facing platform will consolidate campus tools into one unified platform that streamlines information, support and resources. This approach promotes degree persistence, eliminating the need for students to navigate multiple locations to access the assistance they require. The goal is to extend this white label solution to other under-resourced institutions.

Goals of this project include:

Enhanced Student Success: The centralized platform aims to improve the academic and personal experiences of students, leading to higher retention, academic performance, graduation rates, and post-graduation outcomes.

Improved Accessibility and Convenience: With its mobile-first design and Single Sign-On (SSO), the platform provides easy access to a wide range of resources for use by students as well as staff, enhancing decision-making speed and convenience.

Streamlined Support Services: By integrating various resources and tools, the platform will streamline access to comprehensive support services, including academic advising, career counseling, mental health resources, and more.
